Wanderlust: An Irresistible Desire To TravelTravelling, when you get used to it, becomes a drug, a need, a desire. You can’t help it. I can’t help it. Sometimes I really want to settle down but I can’t settle for a place! If I settle, it will be for somebody, because in the end, what matters is the people, not the place. BUT UNTIL THEN… There’s too much to see, to much to feel, too much to explore…

James Bond Island, one of the famous tourist attractions in Thailand. It’s original and local name is Koh Tapu (Nail Island) due to the 20m tall island and is part of the Ao Phang Nga National Park. It became famous after the James Bond movie “The Man With The Golden Gun” in 1974, with Roger Moore and Christopher Lee.It is an interesting place and the coast of Phang Nga is recovering from the 2004 Tsunami which destroyed the place in drastic ways. I enjoyed a tour from Phuket island which took us to the James Bond island amongst other islands in the area.
It is worth the view.

Kuraburi Greenview Resort in Phang Nga, Thailand, is a little piece of paradise adjacent to the highway 8. It is located around 2.5 hours from Phuket Airport and is in the middle of a tropical rainforest. Khao Lak is not far and many people transit there before heading to the Similan Island. It is a gorgeous place, with a peaceful atmosphere and suitable for nature lovers.
I fell in love with the place. I have good memories which I cherish after 4 days spent there but being in such a calm environment, away from all civilization makes you ponder about life, brings you into a different dimension. It was the epitome of my summer fling of 2011. I recommend the resort to all the people out there who want to experience nature at its best. To lose yourself in romance or to have quality time with your family, it is perfect. But bear in mind that you will need a car as it is quite inaccessible otherwise.
You can drive in the region to find stretches of virgin beaches, lose yourself in KMs of sand and sea or if you prefer hiking to discover wonderfully carved waterfalls in a tropical rainforest not (yet) troubled by mass tourism.

I took this photo during a trip to Pulau (island) Pangkor, Malaysia. Beautiful place. Reminded me a lot of my own country (Mauritius). Mostly visited by locals. Yet, the beaches are amazing and worth the trip.
We choose our own paths, where we want to be, what we want to do and with whom we want to share the moments. Might as well enjoy while it lasts…

Monkey Madness: Chips-eating monkeys! Wildlife disaster.
OMFG! This was my first reaction; not a very positive one though. While many people found it funny and thought of it as some clown in a circus, I was appalled. So you must be wondering where this is. The little thing lives on an island called Lake of the Pregnant Maiden, a few kms away from the well-known tourist spot, Langkawi, in Malaysia. The island, with its nice mountains and lake surrounded by mountains, is the home of those small individuals. I wouldn’t know the species and hence, for the sake of this post, we’ll name it, Monkey. So Monkey and his friends have similar tastes with us, humans. They LOVE chips and canned drinks! They even lick the salt out of the pack, kinda like kids do!Chips are to Monkey, what cocaine is to drug addicts. As a matter of fact, while we were walking on the track, eating our Pringles, we were about to get mugged by this little fellow. Yes! Imagine telling your friends this story >.< Monkey came running trying pretty hard to get hold of the Pringles and we ran, and ran, to save our souls.I bet he thought to himself “You stupid tourists, this is what you get for littering on my island.“ I fear the little ones have gotten used to our junk-food-ness! So, next time you’re there be careful as not to get your eye balls ripped of by Monkey and his gang because your predecessors were too dumb to respect a foreign, and formerly virgin environment and too retarded to walk a bit further and use the bin!
What you give, you get back!
