Letters to Juliet
Dear Claire, “What” and “If” are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don’t know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it’s never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn’t it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don’t know what a love like Juliet’s feels like - love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I’d like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn’t, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet.

One of my favourite movies and favorite movie quotes. How many of you can relate to this? I know I can. What’s your happy ending?
The quote is from one of my favorite books: Salt and Saffron by one of my favorite authors Kamila Shamsie.
You have to admit that it is absolutely true. Sometimes it doesn’t take much time to figure out whether a person is likely to break your heart. I guess this quote implies that sometimes, you don’t need much time to feel something for somebody and that the feelings however genuine they may be… they might be inappropriate or unshared…
Is it even possible to ‘un-feel’ something? I guess not. You probably just get used to the feeling until it fades away.

If you plan to invest all your resources on somebody, you might want to think twice before. There’s no such thing as unconditional love. We all have expectations. If you are treated like crap, or not treated properly, you might want to think again about the relationship (or whatever it is). It is hard to move on, but you can do it. Everyone will hurt you but some people are just not worth the suffering.
